Dr. Brooks

A 1967 graduate of Western High School, Dr. Dwyte E. Brooks did his undergraduate work at Northwestern University. He attended the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry where he received his D.M.D. in 1975 followed by a general practice residency in the United States Air Force. He started his Las Vegas practice in 1977 on East Sahara and moved to our current location in 1999.

In practice for 29 years, Dr. Brooks is past-president of the Southern Nevada Dental Society and Nevada Dental Association (NDA) and continues his service as the American Dental Association Delegate from Southern Nevada and NDA Treasurer. He has been a frequent lecturer for the Dental Boot Kamp continuum as well as various dental meetings throughout the country and locally. Dr. Brooks is a fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, Academy of Dentistry International, American College of Dentists, and Pierre Fauchard Academy and serves on the Advisory Board of the Hornbrook Group and National Clinical Advisory Board for Heraeus-Kulzer. He has served on the teaching faculty of the Dental Boot Kamp and PAC-Live Esthetic Programs and has numerous professional publications as well as extensive radio and television appearances and newspaper articles to his credit. Although Dr. Brooks is frequently compensated for his publications and appearances, the practice does not advertise or use infomercials and has been limited to referrals only for over a decade.

A recent peer-poll rated Dr. Brooks as one of the top ten general dentists in Southern Nevada as well as tops in community service. He always looks to give back to his community by participating in and organizing such charitable events and organizations as Smiles for Life, Donated Dental Services, Give Kids a Smile and the One-Day a Year program. His wife of 36 years, Sue, is a pediatric nurse practitioner and founder and driving force behind the medical Clinic on Wheels program. They are the incredibly proud parents of a son and daughter and deliriously proud of grandson, Trey, and granddaughter Payton. The office is liberally adorned with their photos.

Dr. Jones

Dr. James M. Jones has been recognized by his peers as a legend in Nevada dentistry. In practice in Southern Nevada for over 40 years, he retired for a short time and found he missed dentistry too much and returned to practice to join Dr. Brooks at Cascade Valley Dental. A native Las Vegan, Dr. Jones did his undergraduate work at BYU and attended the University of Washington Dental School graduating in 1960. Like Dr. Brooks, he has served as President of the Southern Nevada Dental Society and Nevada Dental Association and as Southern Nevada Delegate to the American Dental Association. He also served on the Nevada State Board of Dental Examiners and is a fellow of the Pierre Fauchard Academy, Academy

of Dentistry International, American and International Colleges of Dentistry and Academy of Restorative Dentistry. He blends time with his four children and dozen grandchildren with Rotary, golf, skiing and sailing..

Dr. John Vennochi

Dr. John Vennochi has been living and working in Las Vegas since November 1994 and a member of the Cascade Valley Team since February 3, 1997.

Originally, from Boston, Dr. Vennochi attended the University of Massachusetts in Amherst and Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, he graduated in 1981. Shortly thereafter he opened a Dental Practice in Lynn, Ma. After being in Lynn for twelve years, Dr. Vennochi decided he had enough of the snow and cold of the Northeast so he and his wife of 16 years, Pam, packed up and headed to the desert of Nevada.

In 1998, Dr. Vennochi and Pam were blessed with a gorgeous baby girl, Sarah Frances, who keeps them both very busy.

Dr. John loves all sports, especially basketball, baseball, football and skiing. He has stated on many occasions that what he misses the most about Boston is all the trees, the colors of fall, and his beloved Celtics and Red Sox.

Dr. John has a very playful side and the Team really loves it when he’s in the office because he is so much fun.

Dr. Michael Flores

Dr. Michael Flores is originally from San Diego, California where he completed his undergraduate studies at San Diego State University and received his doctorate from University of Nevada, Las Vegas School of Dental Medicine.

Since moving from San Diego, He has found a home here in Las, Vegas and enjoys the city’s liveliness. Along with a home, Las Vegas has helped him find his fiancé, Stephanie, who is an Early Childhood Special Needs Educator with Clark County School District. Together they enjoy traveling, spending time with family, and playing with their two dogs: Lola, a chocolate lab, and Bucky, a Chihuahua mix.

When not at the office, Dr. Flores enjoys watching sports, especially basketball and football. He also strives for an active lifestyle by going to gym, snowboarding in the winter months and playing paintball.

Dr. Alister Man

Dr. Alister Man was born in Baltimore, Maryland. He grew up in Lexington, Kentucky and attended Pomona College in Claremont, California. After finishing college, he returned to his hometown and completed his doctoral studies at the University Of Kentucky College Of Dentistry in 2008. During dental school, he served as a tutor in Restorative Dentistry. He also volunteered regularly at the Lexington Mission Dental Clinic where low income adults can receive care and completed an externship at the VA Hospital.

Happily married for four years to his wife Samitha, they were blessed with the birth of a baby boy in November, 2007. At 9 months and weighing in at literally ¼ of his mothers weight, Cooper enjoys rolling around, knocking over blocks and kissing his stuffed monkey.

Besides spending time with family, Dr. Man enjoys reef aquariums, fishing, table tennis and golf.

Dr. Neil Patel

Dr. Neil Patel was born in Laredo, Texas but has spent the last 10 years in San Antonio to pursue his education at the University of Texas. He has earned a bachelor’s degree in both Sociology and Biology in addition to his Doctorate of Dental Surgery. While in school, he was very active in the community as well as school organizations.

While most of his volunteering was done in the border cities of Mexico, ha has also given time to homeless clinics and underserved areas of San Antonio. His latest community service took him on an adventure to Nepal and Thailand where hundreds of grateful people received much needed care and supplies. In addition to this, he has spent time as an officer in ASDA, the student version of the American Dental Association, as well as vice president of Xi Psi Phi, an international service fraternity. Currently he is working with the Southern Nevada Dental Association in a mentoring program.

In keeping with the tradition of the senior dentists of the practice, Dr. Patel is an avid sports fan as well. Although born and raised in Texas, he is fanatical about the Washington Redskins, Oakland A’s, and UNLV Runnin Rebels. When asked why he did not root for more local teams, he responds with ease….” I’m an 80’s kid and those were the teams that were on TV!”

In his downtime, you can find him breaking glass at a karaoke bar or at his home painting or playing Rockband.
